Talking to the Others – our video series

As part of our democratic education effort, we have produced and released a series of five short videos, offering instructions how to bridge differences in personal and family settings:

  1. "Why talk to people holding opposing views?" – on the importance and benefits of engaging in dialogue across the aisle.

  2. "What makes a good conversation?" – a brief overview of active listening, respectful communication, and finding common ground.

  3. "How to navigate daily life in a divided family?" – tips on how to have open communication  with family members holding differing views.

  4. "How to handle anger when discussing views?" – guidance on managing emotions, particularly anger, related to contentious topics.

  5. "How to rebuild a friendship strained by ideological differences?" – on iepairing relations that may have been damaged by ideology.

The series was funded by the National Endowment for Democracy. Under this grant we also delivered:
